The Magomano washing station is one of two located in Kiambu. It took its name from the language of the local Kikuyu tribe, whose elders used to hold their meetings there, and literally means "gather".

 

Most farmers in that region don't just rely on coffee. In addition to this occupation, they also grow avocados and macadamia nuts. This allows them to shade the growing coffee trees and is an additional source of income for them. The farm is located in an area rich in fertile clay soils, with a large supply of nutrients for the plants growing on them, but it is difficult to cultivate, so growing plants on it is a real task.

 

Our KENYA Muhara Magomano is a coffee of extraordinary character. Beans subjected to washing treatment reward with purity of taste and distinct, fruity acidity, characteristic of Kenyan coffees. Juicy notes of redcurrant and pomegranate are strongly felt in the infusion, highlighted by the distinct sweetness of cranberries. They are complemented by the aftertaste of dessert chocolate, adding an extremely elegant character to the whole and slightly breaking the fruitiness dominant in the coffee, which is not so obvious in coffees from Kenya.
