Frosty Espresso Duo Christmas Set

Frosty Espresso Duo is a holiday espresso duo that tastes exactly the way winter coffee should — expressive, elegant and full of aroma. We combined two specialty coffees that work beautifully in December’s rhythm: the more intense, dessert-like Tanzania Itumpi in the espresso profile, and the clean, structured, wonderfully wintery Winter Espresso from Guatemala.

This duo performs just as well in the morning as it does in the evening: Itumpi offers a denser, chocolate-and-black-tea profile perfect for the first, stronger espresso, while Winter Espresso brings clarity, gentle fruitiness and lightness that fits winter cappuccinos perfectly.

  • Each set is hand-packed in our holiday gift box
  • You receive a ready-to-gift present — refined, elegant and complete.
  • Need a blank card for a personal note? Write in the order comments — we’ll add one to your set!

Holiday gift set from JAVA Coffee with Tanzania Itumpi and Winter Espresso in a decorative box

Tanzania Itumpi [Espresso] 250g

Tanzania Itumpi is our December espresso roast coffee of the month—a coffee that brings clarity and freshness even to the darkest winter days. The beans come from the Itumpi AMCOS cooperative in the Songwe (Mbozi) region, from plantations located at an altitude of 1500–1700 meters above sea level. Fully washed processing ensures purity and consistency, making it ideal for short, intense extractions.

In the cup, dark chocolate, black tea, and a distinct currant freshness emerge, creating an elegant, structured profile—at once wintry and light. This espresso offers a subtle "reset": clear, energetic, and perfect for moments when the day darkens faster than we'd like. In this set, it serves as a reliable everyday coffee—one that always delivers a clean and consistent result, regardless of the pace of December.

About the Origin of the Beans

The Itumpi AMCOS cooperative has operated under its current name since 1994, although its history began in the 1970s, when it operated as "Ujamaa." Initially with 56 members, today it brings together approximately 160 farmers from the region who regularly contribute their harvest.

A breakthrough came in 2019 with the introduction of full washed processing, which significantly improved quality and opened the door to the specialty coffee market. The cherries arrive at the processing plant in the afternoon, are pulped in the evening, and then undergo overnight fermentation.

The beans are then sun-dried for approximately a week, giving them a clean and harmonious profile characteristic of southwestern Tanzania. Itumpi AMCOS's consistent, diligent work ensures that each batch is consistent, refined, and consciously managed—in keeping with local, traditional cultivation methods.

Kawa Specialty Guatemala San Pedro La Laguna 250g

Winter Espresso is a bean created for winter extractions: pure, precise, and exceptionally stable, even with short brewing times. Washed processing brings out its clarity and elegance - plum, almond, and a subtle, spicy note emerge in the profile, giving the coffee a calm, wintery depth. In espresso form, it's compact and structured, and with the addition of milk, it acquires a delicate, dessert-like character, yet without heaviness.

This is a coffee that excels on colder days: consistent, harmonious, and simply reliable. Paired with the light, fruity Tanzania Itumpi, it creates a blend perfectly tailored for mindful winter coffee drinking.

Informacje o farmie

The beans used in this year's Winter Espresso come from San Pedro La Laguna, Guatemala—a region renowned for its microclimate created by Lake Atitlán and the surrounding volcanoes. The plantations are located at an altitude of 1,500–1,900 meters above sea level, where the cool "Xocomil" wind slows the ripening of the fruit, contributing to its purity and natural sweetness.

The crops are primarily cultivated by farmers from the Tz'utujil Maya community, working on small, volcanic plots. The region's dominant varieties are classic Arabica varieties: Typica, Bourbon, Caturra, and Catuai, which are harvested from October to March. The beans undergo a full washing process, giving them a clear and consistent character. Thanks to a partnership with COUNISA, coffee from this area is supplied to top specialty roasters, including JAVA.

Frosty Espresso Duo will be perfect for someone who:

  • Is a true espresso lover and can't imagine a day without a short shot or their favorite coffee with milk,
  • Drinks espresso every day and wants to explore different flavor profiles—from classic chocolate and black tea to fresh, fruity accents,
  • Chooses coffees that are equally good on their own, as well as in cappuccino or flat white,
  • Appreciates practical, yet refined and truly high-quality gifts.

This gift is simple in form, yet rich in experience—perfect for an espresso lover who enjoys a surprise with every cup. For someone who appreciates the quality of beans, the variety of profiles, and that feeling when a well-brewed espresso gets the day off to a good start.
