How is Luxurious Matcha made and what makes it special?
The highest quality Moya Matcha Luksusowa leaves come from the Uji and Kagoshima regions – iconic places on the map of Japanese tea. It is there, among the gentle hills, fertile soils and clean springs, that green tea has the best conditions for growth. High humidity, morning mists and limited access to sunlight make the leaves produce more chlorophyll and L-theanine – compounds responsible for the intense colour, creamy structure and subtle, deep flavour.
The tea is produced on small, family plantations, without the use of pesticides, and the entire process – from harvesting to grinding – takes place locally in Japan. Matcha reaches Europe in fresh, small batches, which guarantees the highest quality and a wealth of active ingredients in each tin.
How to make matcha latte?
- Measure out two bamboo teaspoons of matcha (or one regular teaspoon) and pour into a bowl.
- Add 100ml of hot water (80°C).
- Use a bamboo whisk (chasen) to whisk vigorously until a thick, green froth forms.
- Add more water if you want a milder drink.
- If you fancy a matcha latte, simply add 200ml of warm, frothed plant milk.
