Compatibility with cookers

The Bialetti Moka Express (6 cups) coffee maker is suitable for use on gas and ceramic hobs. It is not suitable for induction hobs - unless you use a special Adapter for induction hobs, which allows you to use the coffee maker on induction. For safety reasons, we recommend that you position the coffee maker so that the handle is not directly above a heat source.

how does a moka pot work ?

The coffee maker consists of three parts: a lower water tank, a coffee filter and an upper container for the finished brew. Pour water into the lower part – only up to the safety valve – and pour finely ground coffee into the filter.
Then screw all the elements together and place the coffee maker on the stove. The water starts to boil under the influence of heat, creating pressure that pushes it through the coffee to the upper part. After a few minutes, the coffee is ready – intense, aromatic and in true Italian style.

Care and use:

The coffee maker should be washed by hand only – without detergents and without using a dishwasher. The natural patina that forms over time has a positive effect on the taste of the coffee.
