Collection: Coffee from Colombia

Colombia has long been considered a global leader in high-quality Arabica production – and for good reason. Colombian coffee is grown in picturesque mountain regions such as Huila, Antioquia, and Nariño, where ideal climate conditions and high elevations give the beans a unique character. Known for its balance, clarity, and approachable flavor profile, Colombian Arabica often features notes of red fruits, caramel, chocolate, and ripe citrus – all wrapped in a smooth body and elegant acidity.

What does Colombian coffee taste like – and how should you brew it?
It performs beautifully across all methods – from classic pour-over (V60, Chemex, drip brewer) to espresso and moka pot. As a filter coffee, it shines with juicy freshness and sweetness; as espresso, it delivers intensity and balance that pairs perfectly with milk. If you're looking for Arabica that combines quality, versatility, and a timeless flavor – Colombian coffee is always a great choice.

  • Coffee from Colombia has long been among the top-selling coffees worldwide. This is largely due to its unique sensory characteristics, shaped by the region’s diverse climatic conditions. Cultivation in the Andes and Cordillera mountain ranges allows coffee cherries to ripen evenly and be harvested at different times of the year. As a result, beans from this region produce a cup that is delicate, aromatic, and silky in texture.

At the same time, Colombian coffee is considered one of the most balanced and approachable specialty coffees. Its character comes from the combination of high-altitude cultivation, diverse microclimates, and refined processing methods. These factors result in a cup that is clean, complex, and consistently high in quality.

Many Colombian coffees belong to the specialty segment, and carefully selected microlots offer refined and diverse flavor profiles. Depending on the region and processing method, they can reveal a wide spectrum of aromas — from juicy fruit notes to deeper, sweeter undertones that develop during brewing.

  • Ideal Growing Conditions

Most coffee farms in Colombia are located at altitudes between 1400 and 1900 meters above sea level, with average annual temperatures ranging from 17 to 24°C. These conditions ensure proper development of the coffee plants.

Plantations are mostly spread across mountain slopes from south to north, where moderate rainfall and consistent sunlight create optimal growing conditions. Due to favorable geography and a stable microclimate, coffee beans in this region can be harvested over several months each year. The main harvest periods usually take place from March to June and from September to December.

The cherries are typically hand-picked and then processed using the washed method. In later stages, the beans are sun-dried and carefully sorted.

  • Distinct Aroma and Flavor

The taste of Colombian coffee is highly balanced, combining clarity and delicacy. Its sensory profile remains expressive, yet perfectly structured, characterized by an optimal balance between fruity acidity, sweetness, and bitterness.

In coffees from this region, notes of nuts and chocolate are most prominent, often complemented by subtle hints of caramel and citrus fruits on the palate. This delicate yet rich profile works especially well with pour-over brewing methods.

The aroma released during brewing of freshly roasted beans quickly fills the space, creating a truly immersive sensory experience.

  • Decaf Specialty Coffee Colombia Asomujer – for Filter & Espresso

Not long ago, decaffeinated coffee meant compromise. Today, it is a conscious choice — for those who expect specialty quality but want to enjoy another cup without excess caffeine. Colombia Asomujer Decaf proves that great coffee doesn’t need to stimulate — it simply needs to taste as it should.

The caffeine has been removed using the EA Decaf method, also known as the sugar cane process. It is one of the most selective and gentle decaffeination methods, using ethyl acetate derived from sugarcane.

The process begins with gentle steaming of the beans to open their structure. The ester then binds with caffeine and removes it without affecting the flavor profile. At the final stage, the beans are steamed again to eliminate any remaining traces of the compound.

The result? A coffee that retains its natural sweetness, aroma, and complexity — without compromise.

Colombia Asomujer roasted for espresso can be prepared using an automatic machine, espresso machine, or manual espresso machine, as well as a moka pot, cezve, or French press. The lighter roast is perfect for pour-over methods such as drip, Chemex, or AeroPress.
