Collection: Coffee from Brazil

Brazilian coffee is one of the most popular choices worldwide – and for good reason. As the largest coffee producer in the world, Brazil is known for cultivating high-quality Arabica. Brazilian coffee is typically well-balanced, low in acidity, and rich in nutty, chocolatey, and caramel notes. It’s a perfect option both for beginners and experienced coffee lovers. The best coffees often come from regions like Cerrado, Mogiana, and Sul de Minas, where ideal conditions support the growth of top-quality specialty beans.

What does Brazilian coffee taste like – and how should you brew it?
Brazilian Arabica is smooth, sweet, and incredibly versatile. It works wonderfully as espresso and also in pour-over methods like Chemex, V60, or AeroPress. As espresso, it highlights flavors of dark chocolate and walnut; with milk, it creates a harmonious cappuccino or flat white. If you’re looking for a classic, full-bodied coffee – Brazilian coffee is always a great choice.

  • Brazilian coffee is among the most popular in the world for a reason. The country offers ideal conditions for growing coffee, largely due to its unique geographical location and climate. These favorable conditions support the cultivation of high-quality coffee across many regions. The most important coffee-growing areas include Santos, Minas Gerais, and São Paulo. In Brazil, both Arabica and Robusta varieties are cultivated.

  • What Makes Brazilian Coffee Stand Out?

Brazilian coffee is known for its distinctive flavor and aroma, as well as a wide range of sensory profiles. Beans from this origin can be found both in the permanent lineup of our roastery, JAVA Coffee Roasters, and in seasonal filter releases.

We focus primarily on the specialty coffee segment, ensuring the highest quality 100% Arabica beans. In Brazil, coffee is grown on vast plantations located at altitudes ranging from 600 to as high as 1200 meters above sea level. Depending on the growing conditions, Brazilian coffees can vary in intensity and acidity, offering diverse flavor experiences.

  • Characteristics & Flavor Profile

Brazilian coffees are known for their relatively smooth, approachable taste, without excessive intensity or sharp acidity. Many of them feature a natural sweetness, with notes of nuts, chocolate, caramel, and subtle fruit.

They are also recognized for their low acidity, making them an excellent choice for those who prefer a more balanced and gentle cup profile. At the same time, their aroma can be rich and complex, offering a wide range of nuanced flavors.

Most Brazilian coffees are processed using the natural method, meaning the beans are dried in the sun together with the fruit pulp. They are typically roasted to a medium or dark level, which helps bring out their full body and depth of flavor.

  • Which Brazilian Coffee Beans Are the Best?

Brazilian coffee beans can be perfectly matched to individual preferences, depending on their sensory profile, origin, and roast level. In our online store, you will find beans sourced from trusted farms, often produced by small, local growers.

Our Brazilian specialty coffees undergo rigorous quality control, ensuring they are free from defects. We also take care of airtight packaging to preserve long-lasting freshness. This is further supported by our roasting approach — we roast in small batches on an ongoing basis, no more than 10 days before shipping.

  • Brazil Maracana

Brazil Maracana specialty coffee is an exceptional offering from producer Marina Diniz Junqueira, featuring the Yellow Catuai variety grown at altitudes of 700–900 meters above sea level.

Its unique sensory profile combines notes of orange, dark chocolate, and roasted nuts. The beans come from a multi-generational farm managed by the Junqueira family since 1872, with a long tradition of female leadership. Today, the farm is run by Marina and Lincoln, who have been actively developing the brand since 2015.

The producer places strong emphasis on sustainable farming practices, including advanced irrigation systems that help control soil moisture. This ensures consistent crop quality while significantly reducing water consumption. The farm uses only natural fertilizers, renewable energy sources, and actively supports educational initiatives.

This coffee is ideal for brewing with a moka pot, espresso machine (manual or automatic), cezve, or French press.

  • Brazil Cerrado 003

Another specialty offering from JAVA Coffee is Brazil Cerrado 003. This coffee is produced by the Cerrado cooperative and includes Mundo Novo, Yellow Catuai, and Red Catuai varieties grown in the Cerrado Mineiro region of Minas Gerais at altitudes of 1100–1350 meters above sea level.

These conditions contribute to the exceptional quality of the Arabica beans used in this carefully selected blend. The region offers ideal climate conditions and fertile soils — often referred to as “red earth” — which allow for flat terrain cultivation and efficient mechanical harvesting.

This coffee features an appealing sensory profile with notes of cherry, dark chocolate, and red grapefruit. Its high quality is also a result of precise processing methods, including careful cleaning and drying of the coffee cherries, followed by controlled mechanical hulling once optimal moisture levels are reached.

Brazil Cerrado 003 is well suited for brewing with espresso machines, moka pots, French press, cezve, and automatic coffee machines.
