Coffee of the month

We created this subscription to regularly surprise you with new, interesting seeds.

Every month we select beans from around the world, test them, roast them and deliver them directly to your door.

These are exclusively 100% Arabica from the Specialty Coffee segment. Each coffee has a unique character of the place where it is grown and the way the beans are processed, which has a huge impact on its taste.

Coffee of the Month is available in two roast profiles: light / drip coffee (the roast level we recommend for alternative brewing methods) or dark roast / espresso (we recommend for pressure coffee machines, automatic coffee machines and moka pots) - you can choose which one you prefer!

  • What Is Specialty Coffee?

Specialty coffee refers to high-quality beans evaluated at a minimum of 80 points on the 100-point Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) scale. These coffees are carefully selected, expertly roasted, and crafted to highlight their natural character. In specialty coffee, origin, processing method, and freshness matter more than mass production.

At JAVA Coffee Roasters, we select only the beans we would want in our own cups. Our offer includes both year-round coffees perfected for consistency and seasonal microlots that follow the harvest calendar of each origin country. This allows you to return to your favorite flavor profiles or continuously explore new regions, varieties, and processing methods.

  • What Makes JAVA Coffee Specialty Unique?

Every batch is roasted with your brewing method in mind.

    • Lighter roasts emphasize natural complexity — fruit-forward notes, freshness, and refined sweetness — ideal for pour-over methods such as V60, Chemex, or AeroPress.
    • Darker roasts provide greater intensity, deeper body, and classic chocolate or caramel notes — perfect for espresso machines, moka pots, or French press.

We roast in small batches, five days a week, ensuring full control over each roast profile and delivering coffee at optimal freshness.

  • Flavor You Can Choose – What Notes Will You Find?

Flavor begins long before roasting. It starts on high-altitude plantations in Central America, in the humid forests of Indonesia, across African highlands, and in mountainous regions of Asia. Altitude, climate, soil composition, and processing methods shape the final cup.

At JAVA Coffee Roasters, flavor is never accidental. It begins on high-altitude plantations in Central America, in the humid forests of Indonesia, across African highlands, and in the mountainous regions of Asia. Growing conditions — altitude, climate, soil, and processing methods — shape the character of our coffee long before it reaches the roastery.

That is why the same Arabica variety can taste completely different depending on its country of origin — or even a specific farm. African beans are often juicier and more fruit-forward, with vibrant freshness and a delicate, tea-like elegance. Coffees from Latin America tend to offer more balanced flavor profiles, with notes of chocolate, caramel, nuts, and ripe fruit. And Asia? It brings intensity to the cup — deeper spice notes, greater structure, and a fuller body.

  • Single Origin vs. Specialty Blends – What’s the Difference?

Alongside single origin coffees, we also offer expertly crafted specialty blends.

    • Single origin coffee showcases the character of one specific country, region, or farm.
    • Specialty blends combine beans from different origins to create a harmonious, balanced, and repeatable flavor profile.

Blends are designed to deliver balance — sweetness with gentle acidity, structure with aroma, depth with clarity — ensuring consistency regardless of brewing method.

Our espresso blends typically offer creamy texture, chocolate and nut notes, while lighter blends for filter brewing highlight fruit freshness and clarity.

  • JAVA Coffee Roasters – More Than Just Coffee

When choosing specialty coffee, you can perfectly match it to your brewing method — from classic espresso and pump-driven extraction to rich moka pot brews.

If you’re looking for a full-bodied, intense espresso, reach for espresso blends designed to perform beautifully in both traditional espresso machines and automatic coffee machines. Their dense body, chocolate and fruit notes, and stable crema ensure that every shot is balanced and aromatic.

Prefer moka pot coffee? Choose single origin coffees with more complex profiles and try:

Their natural sweetness, subtle spice notes, or fresh fruit character develop beautifully during longer extraction.

If versatility matters most, opt for coffees that perform well across different brewing methods — whether espresso machine, moka pot, or semi-automatic equipment. Balanced Latin American single origins, such as Colombia or Guatemala, are excellent choices, combining caramel and chocolate sweetness with delicate fruit nuances.

Well-crafted espresso blends like Sweet Kick Espresso Blend are also a reliable option — stable, harmonious, and consistent in the very best sense of the word.
