Speciality coffee roastery is focused on roasting the highest quality beans, free from any defects, which can often result from errors made during harvesting or processing and always negatively impact the organoleptic qualities and value of the raw material. In the case of speciality quality, only 100% flawless coffee can enter the roaster. What influences the high quality of such beans?

What does a speciality coffee roastery do?
Our speciality coffee roastery focuses on roasting the highest-quality beans rated at least 80 points on a 100-point scale. Contrary to popular belief, not every freshly roasted coffee is of good quality. At JAVA Coffee Roasters, we roast Arabica beans that meet the requirements set for coffees in this segment. Our coffee is sourced from trusted suppliers, tested for quality, skillfully roasted, and promptly delivered to the customer. If you'd like to know more about the origin of your chosen coffee or its processing method, check out the description available on our site or contact us! We are happy to provide more details about the varieties you are interested in.
Where do we source our beans?
Our coffee beans come from various parts of the world, including Ethiopia, Colombia, Guatemala, New Guinea, Brazil, India, Costa Rica, and Honduras. We only source them from trusted distributors who supply beans directly from farmers engaged in organic farming. These plantations are often located at altitudes exceeding 2000 meters above sea level. This height shields coffee plants from environmental pollution, making chemical pesticides unnecessary (many pests and diseases do not survive at such altitudes due to the climate). Thus, we know the exact origin of each bean we roast, and we share this knowledge with our customers. However, the origin alone does not guarantee high quality. Careful selection of beans without defects is also crucial—only such raw material can be used to roast perfect coffee.
How do we roast coffee?
The coffees available in our store are primarily light and medium roasts, making them perfect for drip brewing methods or espresso machines. We only roast beans whose samples have passed our "blind test," conducted by at least three people. During the roasting process, we use professional roasters that allow us full control over the roast level. This is crucial, as the final flavor and aroma of the coffee are influenced not only by the temperature but also by the roasting time—even seconds can make a difference. Since freshly roasted coffee offers the most intense flavor profile, we deliver it to the customer within a maximum of 4 days after roasting. We're confident that once you try it, you won't want to switch to anything else!
What coffees do we offer at our Polish speciality coffee roastery?
Polish speciality coffee roasteries offer various types of coffee, including many blends of Arabica and Robusta, which is considered to be of lower quality. At JAVA Coffee, we exclusively offer 100% Arabica, focusing on speciality-grade coffee. We provide individual coffee varieties, but for beginners, we recommend starting with our tasting sets, designed to help everyone discover their favorite coffee in practice. Once you've made your choice, you can opt for a coffee subscription, through which we send your selected beans regularly every four weeks, freshly roasted. If you're undecided, you can also subscribe to our "coffee of the month" subscription and test a new variety every four weeks.
Sensory profile
As mentioned, by knowing the exact origin, growing conditions, and processing methods of the coffee beans, we can accurately determine their sensory profile—flavor and aroma. In our store, you'll find coffees categorized by their organoleptic properties, such as floral, chocolate, fruity, or nutty profiles. If you prefer a sweet flavor in your coffee, go for chocolatey options. If you enjoy fruity notes, choose a coffee with a fruity profile. Importantly, we also offer decaffeinated coffees and coffee add-ins like plant-based beverages to create the perfect coffee with milk foam. Buying from a roastery guarantees freshness, but not always the highest quality. If you want to experience the best and freshest speciality coffee, order from JAVA Coffee. We guarantee the beans will reach you no later than 4 days after roasting, and orders over 100 PLN come with free delivery.
