A perfect choice for filter brewing — for those who appreciate juicy profiles, balance, and precision in the cup.

Hand picking ripe coffee cherries in Kiamabara, Nyeri

This batch comes from Kiamabara Washing Station in Kabare, Nyeri County—one of Kenya's most prized coffee regions. The station, owned by the Mugaga Farmer Cooperative Society, is comprised of approximately 3,000 smallholder farmers who cultivate coffee on small plots of around half a hectare. The beans are grown at an altitude of 1,900 meters above sea level, in fertile, red volcanic soils and a stable climate with two rainy seasons—ideal conditions for high-quality Arabica.

Drying coffee on special tables is one of the key stages of processing

This is a blend of SL28, Ruiru 11, and Batian varieties, undergoing the classic washed process. After harvest, the fruit is pulped, fermented, washed, and dried on raised tables, preserving the purity and precision of its profile. Kiamabara is a Kenyan that prioritizes balance—juicy, elegant, and structured, with a fruitiness that doesn't dominate but leads the cup.

Kenya Kiamabara opens with juicy red fruit—red currant and chokeberry are at the forefront, providing a distinct yet structured fruitiness. A moment later, apple appears, bringing lightness, freshness, and a pleasant clarity to the cup. Milk chocolate rounds out the whole—soft, sweet, and smoothing the profile.

This is a Kenya that avoids aggressive acidity. Instead, it offers balance, juiciness, and a well-structured structure. Expressive yet elegant. Fruity yet calm. One that showcases the character of the Kenyan terroir without overdoing it—purely, precisely, and with class.
