Specialty Decaf Coffee Colombia Asomujer [Espresso]
Just a few years ago, decaf coffee was a synonym for compromise. Today, it’s a conscious choice – for those who don’t want to give up quality but prefer another cup without shaky hands or sleepless nights. From Huila – the heart of Colombian coffee
The coffee comes from the Timaná region in Huila – one of the most fascinating and diverse coffee-growing areas in Colombia. The landscape, climate, and harvest rhythm give coffees from Huila their distinctive complexity. Yet what truly makes this coffee special is the people behind it. ASOMUJER (Asociación de Mujeres Caficultoras del Centro del Huila) is an association of women farmers cultivating coffee on small plots, often no larger than 3 hectares. With care and consistency, they are responsible for the quality of this lot.

Decaf de Caña – gentle and natural
The coffee was decaffeinated using the EA Decaf method, also known as the “sugar cane process.” In short, it uses a naturally occurring ethyl acetate ester (derived from sugarcane) as a solvent that selectively binds caffeine. Before this happens, the beans are first steamed to open their structure, and after caffeine extraction, they are steamed again to remove any remaining ethyl acetate. The entire process is gentle and preserves the coffee’s taste and structure – and the result speaks for itself.

More than decaf – coffee with a message
EA Decaf is not only a gentle process – it’s also a conscious choice. It reflects the needs of those who value mindful decisions – health, quality, and everyday pleasure. But behind ASOMUJER EA Decaf lies something even more meaningful: a community of women who continue to claim their space in the coffee world and prove that craftsmanship knows no gender. In ASOMUJER EA Decaf you’ll find the sweetness of molasses, the maturity of red apple, and the creaminess of nougat – dense and deep in its espresso version.

Try a decaf that needs no excuses. Natural Sugarcane process, women’s craftsmanship, and a taste that stays with you.
