Coffee festivals are extraordinary events! They are like extra holidays for coffee lovers—holidays that smell not of gingerbread, but of the finest coffee.
On May 27-28, we once again participated in the Parzymy Przelewamy festival in Katowice. This was the fifth edition of the event, where coffee roasters from Poland and many other European countries had the opportunity to showcase their products, meet their fans, exchange a few words, and talk with other members of the coffee community. These events are a gathering of coffee enthusiasts in their natural habitat. Everyone is always incredibly kind, smiling, and well-caffeinated!

This year’s edition of Parzymy/Przelewamy featured the ALTERNATYWY vol.2 coffee brewing competition. As JAVA Coffee, we roasted a special coffee for the event, which participants worked with. The festival coffee was available for purchase during the festival and in pre-order in our shop. To keep things exciting, we revealed the coffee beans only after the competition—it turned out to be quite a hit—NICARAGUA Yellow Limoncillo, a rare Yellow Pacamara variety, naturally processed. This coffee was incredibly fruity with condensed sweetness and a delicate citrus acidity. Ordering the coffee “blind” became a big hit with festival-goers and our online store customers—the coffee disappeared from our warehouse before we even got used to it!
Festival guests had the opportunity to explore our current selection of freshly roasted coffees and taste them in both pour-over and espresso forms. We also conducted a coffee tasting (cupping) session during the festival, where attendees could sample coffees from our current selection and learn how to taste coffee to truly appreciate its flavors and detect even the most subtle taste notes. At our booth, we also premiered our new product, which has been winning the hearts of more and more coffee lovers — our Cascara concentrate (dried coffee fruit). This is a completely NEW product on the Polish market!
