Roasted Japanese tea with a deep, warming flavour
PerfectTed Hojicha Powder is 100% Japanese roasted green tea that reveals a completely different side of the tea ritual. Unlike classic matcha, hojicha has a warmer, more dessert-like flavour profile, naturally lower caffeine, and an exceptionally smooth character that works beautifully both on its own and in a hojicha latte.

Made from green tea leaves that undergo a roasting process, hojicha develops its characteristic notes of caramel, nuts, and cocoa, along with a gentler, more enveloping profile. How does hojicha taste?

How to prepare
Hojicha latte:
Add around 2 g of hojicha to a bowl or cup and pour in 40–60 ml of water at approximately 75–80°C. Whisk thoroughly with a chasen or milk frother until the powder is fully dissolved. Top with steamed milk or a plant-based drink for a creamy hojicha latte with a deep, roasted character and a naturally sweet finish.
Iced hojicha latte:
Prepare a hojicha shot as above. Pour it into a glass over ice and cold milk or a plant-based drink.

Storage
Hojicha is sensitive to light, air, and heat — store it in a tightly sealed container in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
