Specialty Coffee Guatemala Los Dos Socios

Guatemala Los Dos Socios comes from the renowned coffee-producing department of Huehuetenango. The ideal growing conditions for coffee plants reward us with a richness of flavor and aroma. A cup of our latest roast will delight your senses with notes of juicy grapes combined with the sweetness of linden honey and hazelnuts, contrasted by pleasantly acidic grapefruit.

La Libertad is a town in the department of Huehuetenango, located in the western highlands of Guatemala. This region is characterized by its mountainous landscape and is home to indigenous communities such as the Mam and Q’anjob’al, who still preserve their traditional cultures and languages.

Agriculture, especially coffee production, is currently a key economic activity in the area. The rich cultural heritage of the region is reflected in traditional costumes and festivals. Despite the natural beauty and cultural wealth, Huehuetenango continues to face challenges such as poverty, limited access to services, and issues related to land rights and indigenous representation.

The Los Dos Socios estate was acquired by Don Concepción Villatoro Matías a little over three decades ago. At that time, there were few coffee plantations in the region, and the land was mainly used for alternative crops or grazing. Concepción, who came from a humble background with limited resources, inherited remarkable diligence and a strong work ethic from his parents.

Farm Owner: Don Concepción Villatoro Matías

Investing in the area, he decided from the beginning to dedicate the land to coffee cultivation. His foresight paid off greatly. This ambitious task posed significant challenges in the early stages, but today, he proudly showcases an impressive coffee plantation that extends far beyond the originally acquired area.
