  • Coffee with a hint of chocolate is a great choice for people who like such a drink with a deep and strong taste. Obtaining such a sensory profile requires the right equipment and the skills of the person who roasts the beans themselves. The subsequent proper approach to the brewing process itself is also important. After meeting these conditions, you can get a brew that will certainly appeal to many coffee enthusiasts.

  • How is chocolate-flavored coffee created?

Coffee with a chocolate note is obtained completely naturally. This means that it does not have to be enriched with artificial additives. It should also not be confused with typical flavored coffees, because in this case the chocolate note is due to the beans themselves, although they must be appropriately processed for this purpose.

  • The key to roasting

To extract the desired features from natural beans, it is necessary to roast them properly. In our roastery, we use specialist ovens for this purpose. Beans of individual species are roasted at different temperatures and with the optimal time selected, which is why the knowledge and good approach of roasters is so important. We distinguish different degrees of roasting, while in the case of species that can give off the aroma of chocolate, the so-called dark variant is usually used, i.e. strong roasting, which allows to extract the character of such beans that is dormant in them.

  • What flavors can you expect?

It is worth emphasizing that due to the intensive degree of roasting, coffee made from such beans will certainly be strong and slightly heavy in taste. There should be a delicate and pleasant bitterness in it, while the acidity level itself will be rather low. The effect of the "strength" of this coffee should not be confused with the level of caffeine, because paradoxically there is more of this compound in the case of lightly roasted varieties. In the context of aroma, a chocolate aftertaste will be noticeable, in some cases with caramel accents. It should be mentioned that fruit aromas may still be present, although they will certainly not be as intense. Depending on the specific variety, a delicate aftertaste of cherry, grapefruit or grapes may be noticeable. In some varieties, there are also nutty notes. What is very important, all these aromas are extracted from natural beans without enhancing their taste. Such richness of the prepared drink is due to the roasting of the beans and their proper brewing.
