Suki Tea Belfast Brew Black Tea

Malty, robust and full of flavour

Belfast Brew is Suki Tea’s signature blend and a true expression of traditional Irish breakfast tea. Indian Assam gives it a deep malty flavour and gentle natural sweetness, while Tanzanian black tea adds brightness, strength and a satisfyingly brisk finish.

Once brewed, it produces a clear, deep reddish-brown infusion with a full body. It is bold enough to enjoy on its own and retains plenty of character when served with milk.

Ingredients: Indian Assam Fairtrade black tea (90%), Tanzanian Fairtrade black tea (10%).

This product naturally contains caffeine.

Suki Tea Belfast Brew – robust breakfast black tea served with milk

What does Belfast Brew taste like?

Deep malty notes, characteristic of Assam tea, lead the flavour. They are complemented by gentle natural sweetness, a full-bodied texture and the slightly dry, brisk character of East African black tea.

Belfast Brew is robust yet beautifully balanced. It is an excellent choice if you enjoy classic black tea with milk, but it can also be served on its own, with lemon or with a little honey.

A tea rooted in Belfast

The name reflects more than the city where Suki Tea began. During the 1950s, Belfast’s Sirocco Works manufactured machinery used to roll tea leaves and give them their distinctive shape before drying.

Belfast Brew brings this piece of the city’s industrial heritage together with the Irish tradition of enjoying strong, full-flavoured breakfast tea.

An award-winning blend

Belfast Brew has been recognised at the Great Taste Awards and received an award at Blas na hÉireann, the Irish Food Awards. These accolades celebrate the quality of the blend and the balance between malty Assam and distinctive Tanzanian black tea.

How to brew Belfast Brew

  • Amount: 2.5 g of tea per 200 ml of water or one Suki Tea scoop per teapot
  • Water temperature: 95–100°C
  • Brewing time: 3–5 minutes

Infuse for around three minutes if you prefer a lighter, brighter cup. Extend the brewing time to five minutes for a stronger infusion with more pronounced malty notes, especially if you plan to add milk.

A classic way to start the day

Suki Tea Belfast Brew is perfect with breakfast, brunch, baked treats or during an afternoon break. Its robust character makes it an ideal choice whenever you fancy a proper, full-flavoured cup of black tea.

Storage: once opened, keep the tea in a tightly sealed container, away from moisture, light and strong odours. For the best flavour and aroma, use within three months of opening.
