Arnulfo Leguizamo – A Coffee Leader
Arnulfo Leguizamo is an icon, a role model for every coffee entrepreneur in Colombia. He is a member of Asociación Los Naranjos and a strong leader in his community, helping fellow producers improve the quality of Colombian coffee. In 2011, he won first place in the Cup of Excellence, with his award-winning coffee selling for a record-breaking $45 per pound.

Arnulfo is a hardworking, highly social, and generous coffee producer who inspires many, including his son Diego, who has recently started co-managing El Faldon with his father. Diego trained as a coffee cupper and aims to continue the family tradition. Arnulfo has recently become an even greater innovator and leader in his community by opening his own coffee shop.

Huila – The Pearl of Colombian Coffee Production
Huila, located in southwestern Colombia, sits between the central and eastern ranges of the Andes. Its central part is known as the Magdalena Valley. The region's diverse elevations make Huila one of the most unique and desirable areas for coffee production in the country.

Terroir, climate, and harvest cycles greatly influence the quality of the coffee produced here. While Huila accounts for nearly 20% of Colombia’s coffee production, an impressive 80% of the region’s producers work on farms smaller than three hectares.
