Specialty Coffee Myanmar Moe Htet [April Coffee of the Month]

Pear, dried plum, apple, black tea – sounds like the beginning of something special? Welcome to the world of Myanmar Moe Htet Estate, our Coffee of the Month, roasted in two versions – for filter and espresso. What does that mean? You can enjoy it exactly how you like: delicate and juicy in filter, or fuller and more intense in espresso.

Coffee of the Month – JAVA Coffee Roasters Myanmar Moe Htet in white packaging with three espresso cups on a wooden table in morning light
Flavour profile: Pear, dried plum, apple, black tea
Country: Myanmar
Region: Naungcho, Shan
Producer: Kyaw Hlaing
Farm: Moe Htet Estate (Sinoda)
Variety: Catimor
Process: Honey

In the filter, expect elegant tea-like lightness, juicy pear and apple, and the depth of dried plum that elevates every sip. If you go for the espresso version, get ready for a creamier texture, more intense fruit notes, and a smooth, nutty finish. Two sides of the same coffee – both equally unique.

Processing?

Honey – a balance between natural sweetness and clarity. After harvesting, the cherries are not fully washed, allowing more sugars to remain. This results in a smoother texture and more intense flavor. You’ll taste juicy fruit and the depth of black tea, giving the coffee its elegant, refined character.
